El cine

Last night, even though I hadn't gotten through all the planning, grading, and admin I needed to, I decided to go do something FUN. For the first time in....?

Anyway, I took a run over to the movie theater to see, "The King's Speech." (Highly recommend!)

I went up to the ticket counter and the girl said, "Oh, I'm sorry, we're all sold out." I was like, "Really? Not even one seat left?" Her jaw dropped, and then she said in at least 4 different ways, (just to confirm if what she was witnessing were possible): "Wait...so...you're alone? As in, there's no one else with you? You...just came by yourself? Like, without anyone else?" I was like, YUP. And then she started laughing! I kid you not. But I laughed, too, thinking, "Wow, you are really lucky I'm not easily offended!" And more importantly, "Oh, amiga, little do you know - I am never, ever alone."

R.I.P. Santa Clos

My roommate isn't a fan of marshmallows, so she's had this little guy on the kitchen counter since Christmas. And when I glanced over at him today, I was shocked to realize that he had finally met his end...and not a very pleasant one by the looks of it. : /

In other news, I'm still alive. Sort of.
